Final MK.1 Design

The Taser Saber is an extremely simple concept. I basically installed a flashlight/taser combo into a lightsaber hilt. I also added a focusing lens to the flashlight. The hilt does add a lot of weight and durability to the device, but installing everything inside it was extremely difficult. It was like putting together a ship in a bottle. I should have used some sort of internal structure that can easily be removed. This design does feature a removable batter, and a latching button that lights up when you turned the flashlight on. However, the battery life is very short. The exposed wiring is not just decorative. It was actually necessary to get some of the wires around the button. This is a very crude build, but it kind of adds to the style. It’s reminiscent of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.
